Alcohol Testing

rbt4Alcohol screening is an important component to Department of Transportation, Safety Sensitive, and other mandated testing programs.

Alcohol testing is commonly accomplished by utilizing an Evidentary Breath Alcohol Analyzer. There are numerous DOT-approved machines on the market. Gregory Services uses the Intoximeter AlcoSensor IV mated with the RBTIV processor.

Oral Swab Screeners are available but require confirmatory testing by the Breath Analyzer, so utility is limited to special circumstances and where prompt backup testing is available.

The evidentary unit must be used only by specially-certified Breath Alcohol Technicians, who pass a comprehensive written and practical exam. Training includes:

  • Biology of Alcohol Metabolism
  • Test Procedures
  • Test Validation and Quality Control
  • Countermeasures to Attempted Test Tampering
  • Machine Calibration and Maintenance

These measures are comprehensive and provide our clients with the confidence required in a substance abuse testing program. Gregory Services provides complete services including testing, staff Certification Training, equipment acquisition.

All testing is subject to a rigorous quality control process which addresses the collection, analysis, confirmation, and reporting process.
